The past four weeks of clinicals has been nothing but short of disappointment. Disappointment that my tenure at Life Care Center of Casper was short lived. I can not begin to describe how much commendation I have for the faculties and especially the nurses, CNA’s and therapists. Like many establishments, there are areas to improve but my focus for this expression is care coordination. It all starts from the top, and for us nursing students, it starts with our instructor. Every start of shift we are given our assignment and a synopsis of what we need to focus on. Our instructor has a sense of exuberance and genuine passion for Lifecare and its residents. Her enthusiasm for pushing her students into the deep end of the nursing pool and putting them in uncomfortable situations was invigorating.
